This will be brief as the internet here is almost no existent on - we are back in Dutch Harbor after a month exploring, and no summits gained - the weather was not on our side, tho we tried.
My other two crew have arrived in Dutch, tomorrow we provision the boat, a quik tour of the Aleutian Museum and the WW2 Museum (its first day open for the season), then a visit aboard "Infinity" a 120' ferro cement ketch with 22 crew making for the North West Passage - see www.expedition.org. and Sea Gypsies.
Hopefully my refrigeration system is repaired by the time we start stowing supplies, then we're off to the Grand Aleutian for a seafood buffet which is apparently "not to be missed", with an invited guest - Jamie, the Dutch Harbor postmistress who hails from Gisborne, NZ!
Off to the Island of Four Mountains now, and if Mt Cleveland is less active, maybe a summit can finally be achieved.
